Odoul’s Gluten Test

Odoul’s is an American non-alcoholic beer. O’Doul’s is brewed like traditional beer – fermented and aged. The alcohol is then removed through the use of low temperature, low-pressure distillation.

Test result: The test result is positive. The test result indicates low levels of gluten. According to the instructions there should appear a clearly visible pink test spot on the left of the test area ( T ) to indicate the presence of gluten. The pink spot on the right test area ( C ) is a control spot and indicates that the extract/sample is suitable, the test has been performed correctly and all reagents are active. – please see also the facts page.

    Steffen, do you think this shows a level under 5ppm? The reaction does seem much smaller than with other tests I’ve performed.

      Hi Jeff, this is a very faint test spot so it must be extremely low and very likely below 5 ppm. But what reaction did you have? Cheers Steffen

    I am very gluten sensitive.
    I experienced mild burning in my mouth.
    Reactions are not as pronounced as regular beer, for sure.

      I’ve had small amounts of Odouls with no reaction. I have not tried drinking an entire beer. It seems to be very low gluten.
